Babysitter

Owen had is first "real" babysitter tonight (that was someone he didn't already know). I hired a student intern I know at UCSB's student health department. Very sweet girl, however I think she was scared to take the reins of our little buckaroo. I left at 7:00 and came home just after 10 only to hear the fun stories of the night. She said he finally fell asleep at 9:30!!! His bed time is 7:30. She said that he didn't "seem tired" and she asked him "4 or 5 times if he was ready for bed?" Of course my baby night owl said "uh, uh" as he shook his head no, all 4 or 5 times ; ) I think she finally put him down at 9 but left his door open (which we don't open until we go to bed ourselves). He said Mama a few times before finally falling asleep. She said that he was waiting for me to come home. Lets hope he sleeps in tomorrow at least!

I guess I learned my lesson to be VERY specific on the good night routine (which I thought I was....but now I know).
