Farmer's market, Wine Tasting

Adam's Mother, Anna and brother, Rob came out to visit last week. We had so much fun with those two! I think the only time we stopped to sit down was when we were in the car on our way to our next adventure!
On Saturday we started off at farmers market downtown where Owen insisted on wearing his Halloween monkey costume. He got a lot of attention that morning!
Owen LOVES his Uncle Rob. He is his "Buddy."

Owen never took those mittens off either. He even ate popcorn with them on : )Next, we changed him into normal play clothes and headed to the wine country to taste and enjoy a picnic at Kalyra.

We then moved on and tasted and walked the beautiful grounds at Bridalwood. We usually hit at least one or two more wineries when we go, but we had Owen with us who needed to run around and play. It was a perfect afternoon. He got to play soccer with Uncle Rob, and have a picnic with some of his favorite people on the planet!

We had such a fun day full of lots of laughs! After all of this, we actually headed to Boo at the Zoo next! I am tired just thinking about it! To be continued.....

Pumpkin Patch and Stow House

Every year we go to Lane Farms for their awesome pumpkin patch. This time we got to take Granny Anna and Uncle Rob along for the fun. We started at the corn maze and followed Owen. He got us through to the end. This was his second time doing it and he knew his way the first time as well. Last year we got so lost in the maze, it took us close to an hour to get out! If it wasn't for Owen, I would still be in that thing eating corn to stay alive!

Buddies It took a few bribes to get Owen to stand here with us for a family shot, and this is the smile we got.... "Cheese!" Next, we headed to the Stow House for a PEP Halloween fundraiser. Owen and Emily put their costumes on once more and we headed in for the fun! Here is Uncle Rob holding hands with a monkey! I thought this picture was pretty funny. It was a fluke that I captured Owen's head this way!

Boo at the Zoo

After a full day of farmers market and wine tasting in the valley, we attended Boo at the Zoo. Owen put his monkey costume back on and Emily put on her ladybug suit and we were off! It was late, the animals were not out and we were all very tired, but we had fun checking out all of the adorable kids in costume running around. This was the best picture I could get of these two dressed up standing next to each other. Since we bought Emily's costume at Costco, we saw a LOT of identical little ladybugs fluttering around. Though ours was the cutest one in my humble opinion ; ) Heading home for pizza hand in hand with his favorite buddies of the day; Daddy and Uncle RobOwen made this paper owl in preschool and insisted on giving it to Uncle Rob. Adam and I were a little jealous, as this has been our favorite thing he has made since starting school!Hugs.

Lemon Festival

On a gloomy Sunday afternoon we decided to walk to the Lemon Festival to meet some friends for a bit. It's not my favorite festival around here, but I have to say that this is the first year Owen really had a good time! He was old enough to take advantage of all the games. We also took advantage of lemonade, lemon ice cream, a lemon tart (which was amazing!), and Adam had lemon meringue pie (I am not a big fan of this pie, but Adam loved it!).

This ball was being suspended in the air by a constant air flow. Owen had a blast playing baseball this way. I have to admit, he has better hand eye coordination than I do! He hit the ball almost every time!

Lemon ice cream....of course!Electronic surfing ; ) It's sort of like the electric bull ride, but on a surf board. He really enjoyed that as well!

Uncle Tony

Owen hasn't seen Uncle Tony (My half brother) since he was younger than Emily. He has finally moved from Georgia back to California, so we should be seeing him a little more often now. He recently came out to meet Emily and reconnect with Owen. Owen had a great time playing trains with him and hanging out. Though he wouldn't pose for a picture, Emily did : )

Random

Our little Sunshine : )Getting lots more smiles : ) Owen surrounded her with all of his "buddies" on the swing. She quite liked this a lot. Hopefully he will always be this good at sharing his toys with her! ; )
